Alien encounters in Hawaii

I know this sounds crazy, every time I tell someone their either freaked out or think I’m nuts. When I was about 7 or 8, we lived in a highrise apartment building in Hawaii. In the middle of the night I had a bad dream and went to sleep with my dad in the master bedroom. At some point I got up to use the bathroom that was connected to the bedroom and as I was walking out movement caught my eye in the doorway to the room. I looked up and this thing that was walking past the door,it saw me and the same time and we both flinched when we saw eachother. I remember thinking that it was about the same height as me, and how strange that was. It had a cloak that covered its head, inside the hood was pitch black except for two large, oval, slanted eyes that were glowing red. We both froze in the position we were in and looked at eachother for a few moments. I couldn’t move or speak, I remember feeling that, not being able to move a muscle. Then it jumped pasted the doorway and I could move agin. (the weirdest thing about this at the time was that I knew I had scared it to, that it didn’t expect to see me) I stood there for a second trying to figure out what to do, it didn’t cross my mind that this was an alien, I thought it was some kind of ghost or demon.

So what else does a 7 year old in that situation except go to bed and pull the covers over my head. But when I did that I could swear I felt something pressing down on the bed in a circle around my body and then the last one on my pilliow. That was it, but for some reason I never told my father untill years later. He told me that I had just dreamed it. That’s what other people have told me as well, but I know I was awake, I have never had other dreams I thought were real when I woke up and this was one of the most frightening experiences of my life. The whole is burned into my memory. Strangely it never crossed my mind that this may have been an alien, untill I was about 17 and was telling a lady what had happened, she then told me about the other sightings and theories about aliens. I also caught on the news for a second a page in a book with drawings of aliens and the exact same thing I had seen was in there. I swear this is the gods honest truth, I want to speak with someone who may have seen the same thing or if anyones heard anything similar.
