US congressman ask NASA if aliens lived on Mars thousands of years ago

The congressman said: “You have indicated (NASA Scientist) that Mars was totally different thousands of years ago… Is it possible that there was a civilization on Mars thousands of years ago?”

The idea that life existed on Mars in the distant past has captured the imagination and interest of people around the globe. Due to the numerous discoveries made in the recent years, there are many who believe that in the distant past, when Mars was much more similar to Earth life may have developed there.
While in the distant past we thought that Mars was a dead, barren and inhospitable planet, NASA and other space agencies have discovered many interesting details about the red planet.
Not long ago experts discovered that Mars contains enough water ice beneath its surface to fill Lake Superior, Earth’s largest freshwater reservoir.
Also, experts discovered that millions of years ago Mars had an atmosphere eerily similar to earth, and was covered with massive lakes, rivers, and oceans that may have had the necessary requirements to sustain life as we know it.
All of these discoveries have led many to question whether it is possible, that in the distant past, millions of years ago, Mars was inhabited by alien life forms.
Now, a US congressmen has come up with a daring question about Mars, and alien life, during the hearing of the Space Committee’s Subcommittee on Science, Space and Technology held on July 18.
The unusual question followed Dr. Ken Farley’s—a project scientist for NASA’s Mars 2020 mission—statements claiming that the red planet had lakes and rivers, and perhaps even a huge septentrinal ocean, some 3.6 billion years ago. So it was Farley’s answer to the question of whether Mars might once have been home to intelligent aliens.
Leaving a senior NASA panel stunned, California Republican Dana Rohrabacher asked experts from NASA where it is possible that an “Alien Civilization” inhabited Mars “thousands of years ago” and whether they could rule that out?
The Congressman said “You have indicated that Mars was totally different thousands of years ago. Is it possible that there was a civilization on Mars thousands of years ago?”
“So, the evidence is that Mars was different billions of years ago, not thousands of years ago, and there is no evidence I’m aware of that — ” Farley answered, but was interrupted by Rohrabacher who added, “Would you rule that out?”
Dr. Farley responded, “I would say that is extremely unlikely.”

Obviously, the internet exploded where countless users rushed social networks asking… “was he for real?” But c’mon people, don’t blame the congressmen now, he asked what many of us would probably ask…
Ok maybe not, but it doesn’t hurt to ask, does it?
In fact, the Congressmen isn’t to blame as he, like many before him, have made claims and asked questions about Mars and the possibility of life on the red planet.
If we look back in history we will find that American Astronomer Percival Lowell believed to have spotted “canals on Mars”, which according to him may have been “built” to bring water from the planet’s ice caps down to the midlatidudes of Mars.
And while we’ve been studying the red planet intensively with our orbiters and rovers, we still have not found conclusive evidence that Mars was once inhabited.
However, that did not stop scientists like Dr. Brandenburg to speak out about Mars, structures on Mars, and traces of life on the red planet.
Dr. Brandenburg, who has a PhD in Theoretical Plasma Physics from the University of California said: “…based on new data, evidence that during this period of Earth-like climate, biological evolution produced, at length, a humanoid civilization leaving ruins at several sites, Cydonia Mensa and Galaxias Chaos being two sites most intensively investigated. Data from these sites formed the basis for the Cydonian Hypothesis (Brandenburg, DiPietro, and Molenaar, 1991) of an ancient, indigenous, approximately Bronze Age civilization on Mars.”
“Mars xenon is found to match closely the component in the Earth’s atmosphere produced by Earth’s nuclear weapons programs, both hydrogen bomb testing, and plutonium production, both of which involve large amounts of fission with fast neutrons. It is found that Mars xenon can be approximately by a mixture of 70% Nuclear Testing xenon, mixed with 30% natural Earth xenon, suggesting that Mars xenon was similar to Earth’s before a large nuclear event altered it dramatically.”
