Russian stargazers run away in terror when mysterious ‘UFO’ zooms through the sky

RESIDENTS in a Russian region feared they were under attack from space as spectacular fireballs flashed across the sky.

A UFO – believed by some observers to be a meteor breaking up in the sky above Krasnodar – brought gasps from locals.

We’re under attack,” shouted local man Alexander Sindetsky as he recorded the fireballs in the night sky.

His expletive-littered commentary was blotted out.

Three clear balls of light were visible, along with a trail in the sky – probably a meteor exploding and burning up in the sky after entering the earth’s atmosphere.

“I’m next to the “Kisses Bridge” in Krasnodar, and a huge fireball flew towards Turgenevsky Bridge,” reported eyewitness Anastasia K.

“It slowly fell, then disappeared.”

The streaking UFO was visible in Krasnodar and the surrounding region, which lies on the Black Sea coast.

President Vladimir Putin has a summer residence in the region, Stalin-built Bocharov Ruchei in resort city Sochi.

It was not immediately clear if he was in the region last night.

“It was flying from south to north, ” said a resident of Vyselkovsky district.

“It  flew fast and divided into several parts, less bright than the core.”

There were no official reports of a meteor or meteorite from agencies of the Russian government.
