Bizarre 120m sea ‘creature’ has been spotted on Google Earth… and some people are convinced it’s a monster

AN ENORMOUS mythical sea creature may be living in the South Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of Antarctica.

Monster hunters spotted what they believe to be a giant squid on Google Earth, near Deception Island in the South Shetland Islands.

Experts believe the sea beast, whose middle section was measured to be 30m or 100 feet, is the Kraken – a legendary creature responsible for capsizing ships and killing sailors off the Nordic coast in the 20th Century and further back in history.

The monster could be up to 120m long, including the tentacles, according to the conspiracy theorists who first spotted it on April 9.

Scott C Waring, who found the image, said: “This looks like a Kraken.

“I used Google ruler and it says this is 30 metres (100 feet) from head to end, but this looks like just the mid area of a giant squid, which means it could be 60+ meters long with tentacles.

Another person, writing on UFO Sightings Daily, likened the monster to prehistoric marine lizard the plesiosaurus.

He said: “No idea what this is but it’s circulating a few places right now and when I saw it, it IMMEDIATELY made me think of a Plesiosaur fin.

“That’s one massive disturbance in the ocean down there and who knows what really caused it.”

If you want to take a closer look, apparently the monster can be tracked down on co-ordinates 63° 2’56. 73”S. 60°57’32.38”W.

Deception Island is an active volcano and horse-shoe shaped island.
