Scot spots ‘meteors crashing to Earth’ as mysterious whisps appear in skies

A Scot has shared images of of mysterious UFOs in the north-east skies.

Dramatic pictures show four streaks of white vapour appearing to be shooting downwards in the clear blue sky.

The resident went as far as to claim ‘meteors’ were falling to earth just days after the year new.

Tickled locals responded by claiming it’s a sign of the end of the world and likened the image to the 1990s classic film Mars Attacks.

It is unclear exactly where the picture was taken.

North-east Facebook page Fubar News posted the pictures and wrote: “Lots of reports coming in about strange sightings in the sky.

“As if 2020 wasn’t bad enough looks like Mars Attacks is happening in the north east.

“Possibly a meteor?

Others joined in the fun trying to pin down exactly what the mysterious white whisps were.

One wrote: “Even the aliens wouldn’t be stupid enough to come here just now.”

Another suggested that the UFOs were Transformers: “Clearly that is optimus prime, jazz, ratchet, and ironhide.”

But Fubar appears to have solved the mystery themselves.

The page wrote: “Solved, 4 RAF planes. Not a Martian invasion after all.”

RAF jets regularly fly over the North Sea with a base located at RAF Lossiemouth in Moray.

Occasionally they are scrambled to chase away Russian military planes which have entered British airspace.

Last month a UFO was spotted in another part of the country.

John McInnes described seeing a ‘sparking’ red cloud and then an object in the air that disappeared ‘in the blink of an eye’ over Airdrie, Lanarkshire on December 22.

The 50-year-old said he had never been a believer in UFOs but was now still considering what he saw.

The Truth is still out there!
