See It! May 26, 2021 Lunar Eclipse Photos

He wrote: “This photo of the lunar eclipse was taken about 8 minutes before totality. At this point the clouds rolled in and totality was completely obscured. From this far north (61 degrees) the moon was low in the sky, and the sky was relatively light.”

He wrote: “Here’s an image from this morning’s lunar eclipse, as seen in Edmonton, Alberta. Weather conditions were somewhat better than expected but still less than ideal. The two stars to the upper right are w1 and w2 Scorpii.”

The total lunar eclipse wasn’t physically visible in India, but that didn’t stop our friend Jai Guru from watching the natural event via a YouTube stream. Enjoy this sequence of screenshots taken by Jai from the start to finish. He said: “The first 5 photos of the top row show how the moon entered totality. The bottom 5 show it coming out of it. The last photo is not as bright because the eclipse was not totally over yet. It would have taken another half an hour or more. Glad to share this wonderful dance of Mother Nature.”
